e-ternity Makes Strategic Decision to Change the Name of its Industry-Recognized Suite of Monthly Services to Capitalize on Cloud Computing Buzz

e-ternity Business Continuity Consultants Inc. a Mississauga, Ontario based organization that provides services that guarantee business continuance to customers in Canada, made a strategic decision to change the name of its industry recognized E-ternity TraumaCentre™ monthly services suite. The new name for the portfolio of services will be e-ternity SkyCentre™, a name that ties in the concept of cloud computing with e-ternity's existing professional services program.
According to Wikipedia, the term Cloud Computing refers to "a paradigm of computing which dynamically scalable and often virtualized resources are provided as a service over the internet, or 'cloud'. The term 'cloud' is used as a metaphor for the internet based on how the internet is depicted in computer network diagrams. "Research organization IDC predicts that" ... by 2012, customer spending on IT cloud services will grow almost threefold to $42 billion. "
'Cloud Computing' is not new to e-ternity. The company has already successfully integrated a number of cloud computing services into their existing monthly managed services portfolio. e-ternity has enjoyed tremendous success with their existing offering, but felt the time was right to "refresh" the message to draw a broader audience. The organization believed that the previous name "E-ternityTraumaCentre" did not successfully convey the concept of cloud computing to its customer base, and began to explore different ideas.
"Cloud computing is now a phenomenon," began e-ternity's President and Managing Director of Sales Greg Onoprijenko. "We felt it was important to tie in the concept of the 'cloud' to our successful monthly services program, and we believe the name e-ternity SkyCentre creates the appropriate image in our customers' eyes."
Although the name of the services suite has changed, Guy Netaneli, e-ternity's Managing Director of Services, was quick to point out that the offering remains unchanged. "Our monthly service program has been a great success," added Netaneli. "This name change is not about changing the type of services we offer or the delivery of those services, it simply tightens our messaging to our valuable customers."
